A gemstone is the
naturally occurring crystalline form of a
mineral, which is desirable for its beauty,
valuable in its rarity and durable enough to be
enjoyed for generation's .There are more than 40
popular gem varieties and many more rare
collector gemstones. Although some gemstone
varieties have been treasured since before
history began and others were only discovered
recently, they are all nature's gifts to us.
Topaz
During the Middle Ages topaz was thought to heal
both physical and mental disorders and prevent
death. The Greeks believed it had power to
increase strength and to make its wearer
invisible while the Romans believed it had power
to improve eyesight. The Egyptians wore it as an
amulet to protect them from injury.
Turquoise
Turquoise attracts money, success and love. Its
powers include protection, healing, courage,
friendship, and luck. Relaxes the mind, and
eases mental tension.
Tourmaline
Tourmaline is believed to strengthen the body
and spirit, especially the nervous system,
blood, and lymph's. It is also thought to
inspire creativity and was used extensively as a
talisman by artists and writers.
Tiger's Eye
Many legends about quartz say that wearing
tiger's eye (which is a form of quartz) is
beneficial for health and spiritual well being.
Legend also says it is a psychic protector,
great for business, and an aid to achieving
clarity.
Agate
Agate is believed to discern truth, accept
circumstances, and is a powerful emotional
healer. Legend says that Agate improves memory
and concentration, increases stamina and
encourages honesty. Agate is said to be
particularly beneficial to people born under the
sign of Gemini as it helps them to remain calm
and focused. It is believed to prevent insomnia
and insure pleasant dreams, to enhance personal
courage and protect one against danger. Agate

perception, concentration and helps to develop

Moon Stone
Moonstone's healing properties are said to
promote digestion, to protect against epilepsy,
to calm emotions, cure headaches and nose
bleeds, and protect against sun stroke.
Hematite
Calming, high blood pressure, transforms
negativity, muscle cramping, nervous disorders
and insomnia.
Garnet
For the New Age movement, the healing powers of
garnet can be characterized by guidance,
protection, purification and warmth, especially

surrounding garnet show the long standing
history of these healing properties. Garnet has

Aquamarine
Since early times, aquamarine has been believed
